Le Versailles de King Karl

Louis XIV, le Roi-Soleil, would have loved it.

The Chanel Cruise Show that took place at Versailles was really one-of-a-kind.

Baroque bouclé jackets and skirts,with a more than a Marie Antoinette touch, and gold snikers that added a funkyallure to the show.

Pastel bob wigs, cherry cheeks and adouble C spot as make up, made the atmosphere a mixture of Reinassanceelegance and unconventional rock.

Karl Lagerfeld's shows are well known to be unique and spectacular, 
but this time the King seemed to have studied every reference under the sun.

Many VIP were present to celebrate the event, from VanessaParadis to Tilda Swinton, to the new muse of the Maison, AliceDellal, who rocked the party after the show with a drums jam session.

Going Beyond.

One created the runway show. The other doesn't love the footlights. 

One was born for the world of fashion. The other declared fashion at first was not her world. 

One thing is certain both Elsa and Miuccia changed this World.

For this reason, for their passion and their contribute METs dedicates an exhibition to these amazing women that definitely flouted conventions. So different so alike.

"Impossible Conversations" is the title of the exhibition by Nathan Crowley, and is recalled from the "Impossible Interviews" of 1930s of Vanity Fair.

Elsa Schiaparelli is regarded as one of the most prominent figures in fashion, from the patterns in knitwear to her shoes, from her shocking-pink to the lobster dress, to her parfumes. 
"Schiap" world embraced and influenced everything.

Miuccia Prada is one of the best examples of Italian fashion entrepreneurs. 

She was honored with the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of American International Award and  is known for her understated, minimalist, classic, cool, and comfortable luxury.
The Prada brand conglomerates Fendi, Helmut Lang, Jill Sander, and Azzedine Alaia to its portfolio. 

Hello May

If I have to be honest, May is my favourite month, the one I was born in and the best of the year. Spring blooms, summer is coming. The breeze is warm in the afternoon walk at the park, and a bit cooler while looking at the moon at night.

May is the time when first parties come, the time you plan for holidays and your skin starts becoming gold.

May is peonies, wisterias, colors, long skirts, crush encounters, terrace dinners, and everything else magic it may happen in May!
